hi, i'm shubham — i make software things
currently at eko, probably chasing a bug that only shows up on tuesdays. i started out on little college projects, slid into saas, then financial services, and somewhere along the way picked up a habit of mentoring folks and poking at generative ai.
every day is a new ai day around here. a few years ago i'd spend twenty minutes googling why a div wouldn't center — now i just ask an llm and spend the saved time arguing with it about whether its answer is actually right. half my job is engineering, half is prompt-whispering, the rest is taste.
i love the tiny details no one notices — easing curves, the exact gray of a border, the satisfying click of a good interaction. mildly obsessed with how things feel.
when i'm not coding, i'm probably driving somewhere new, taking i'll never properly sort, or rewatching a movie. i also read system design blogs and watch random system design videos — makes me feel like i know things, even though i'll only remember them vaguely. pun intended.
in my actual me-time, i wonder how software is going to evolve now that ai is in the room. half of what i do didn't exist when i started, so the other half probably hasn't been invented yet.
